It would be better to choose Saradomin over Zamorak because atleast Saradomin won’t blow up Lumbridge and make it like the wilderness or make it like Morytania like how Zamorak would if he won. Plus what makes Zamorak evil is that he is a usurper and stole his power from betraying Zaros which is why Armadyl being Justice wants Zamorak dead, for killing Zaros’ former manifestation/body and also stealing his staff and the reason why Armadyl entered against Zamorak in the first place in the Third Age.
Zamorak is technically an antagonist/a villain and inherently evil listed as of above. So if you want good then it is preferable to fight on Saradomin’s side in the battle of lumbridge while saradomin was originally a human who became a god by wearing the crown of jas for awhile according to a podcast. Saradomin has the moral high ground in the godhood ascension compared to Zamorak’s godhood.

Most of the damage done in BOL is by Saradomin. Saradomin’s camp destroyed homes whereas Zamorak’s didn’t. Ardougne is a city controlled by King Lathas, a follower of Zamorak and it is prosperous and far from a wasteland. The area that made up wilderness was already tainted from many thousands of years of war between Saradomin and Zamorak. If Zamorak didn’t waste the land how many more would of lost their lives? When would the war of ended? If Saradomin had the option to do so would he choose not to? The killing of the innocent Naragi suggest he would.

How do you know Saradomin didn’t usurp his power? You don’t. The origins of Saradomin’s godhood was never made available. Guthix got his power from killing a god so does that make him evil too? I don’t know where you’re getting Armadyl being mad at Zamorak for killing Zaros as in the Runescape Gold Wars all the factions banded together to suppress Nex, Zaros’ general. The other gods banded together to fight Zamorak because he was becoming too powerful much like how Saradomin is too powerful now.

The above is wrong though. Zamorak is only seen as the antagonist because of propaganda spewed by Saradomin followers. Zamorak believes through chaos and destruction a person can become stronger, he doesn’t do things without a good reason. Who started the Battle of Lumbridge? Saradomin did, he was the first to attack.
