If you’ve been on RuneScape Community for long enough

If you’ve been on RuneScape Community for long enough, you should have encountered a post from one of our most well-known and beloved members: BrotherVoid1. Who is he? Unless you’re a ghost on these forums, a new member, or just oblivious, Void here is a Senior Member that’s also a CL (Community Leader) of Achievements, one of the most popular boards. He’s even won many awards here on RSC, with the most recent being “Best Personality” for the March 2013 Achievement of the Month. He’s also had a part to play with the creation of some famous tips, such as this one about Dagannoth Sentinels. The glorious Murdoc and I had the pleasure of being able to interview him, so hope you enjoy!

Murdoc:
From those humble beginnings, what actually drove you to become so efficient on RuneScape? Was it a desire to be as good or famous as someone like, for example, Zezima? RuneScape Gold.

BrotherVoid1:

To be honest, a bit of both. I started on RS at a pretty young age. Zezima got 99 Slayer around 3 months into my playing. I remember the first time I saw him with the 99 cape back in early 2006. I thought the black (my favorite color) was really cool, so that was one of the first times I looked into getting 99s. I was always “efficient” with my time, but I didn’t look into efficiency with stats until much later. Sometime in 2011 was when I really started to utilize the most efficient training methods and started to create some methods of my own. So yeah, a bit from Zezima, a bit from just the progression of the game. Higher levels, no more level ups, might as well make the most of the time you’re spending on the skill.

Murdoc:

Which skill really caught your eye in that respect? Do you have any favourites? I guess perhaps Dungeoneering due to its expansive meta? After all it goes all the way up to level 120, giving you a lot more room to play around with in terms of finding and really utilising the best training methods (and so on).

BrotherVoid1:

Well… Dungeoneering… Yeah, Dungeoneering is a favorite of mine. There’s a lot of actual skill involved, which is why it’s my favorite to train. Every floor is a different experience and there’s always something to improve on. That being said, there aren’t many ways to train it. You can do floors, or you can do floors. As far as coming up with methods, I love combat. RuneScape 2007 GoldThere are a lot of underutilized methods that can be exploited (see Dagannoth Sentinels tip), which is always fun. Most skills have have a most efficient method, the end. Combat changes with every high level quest released, every patch note changing the way a weapon or monster works, etc. There’s always a new method to be explored. So in that sense, I prefer combat for making new methods. But my favorite skill overall, like I said, is definitely Dungeoneering.

Murdoc:

Haha, I bet you and Milk were gutted when they nerfed the Sentinels eventually.

BrotherVoid1:

Ehh, with that, it wasn’t meant to last. I figured it would stay up for a month or two, but posting it was really just begging for it to be patched. Everyone I was friends with already accomplished their goals using it, so the time was good for it to be released to the public. That’s the thing with methods. RS 2007 Gold.If it’s good, so good it’s almost too good to be true, it’s probably a bug. If you keep it under wraps, they really never go away. I knew when we released it that it would be patched, but I really expected it disappear sooner than it did. I think Milk was pretty gutted though 😛
